AEI team has expertise in all Microwave Circuits, Log Components, Switches, Detector Modules, Up-Down Converters, and Front-End Receivers to indigenously design and develop these systems for customer specifications. It takes pride in test software development, mechanical packaging, and detailed subsystem engineering. AEI has developed a library of design cells that allows it to quickly build and deliver complex miniaturized microwave subsystems. Our design team utilizes versatile and advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools that allow custom products to be produced cost effectively, on time, and with high efficiency and reliability.
AEI's prototype department applies latest innovative ideas and test techniques to meet customer requirements, giving them advantages in Size & Power. Each unit is assembled, inspected, and tested to meet or exceed the customer's requirement for the electrical performance over the full range of environmental conditions.
Manufacturing processes are based on MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-202, and MIL-STD-810. Every unit is tracked by an individual Manufacturing Order, and all the test data is recorded in the Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP). Our CAD tools ensure the units are produced with predictable performance and reliability. All test equipments are calibrated in accordance with International standards.
AKON "Vertically Integrated Capabilities" has developed an internal switch and filter capability. We also offer these capabilities to the Defense, Space, and Commercial merchant markets in the form of components or integrated assemblies.
Akon, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of Microwave switches, filters and multiplexers for military, EW, space and communication systems. Today’s AKON is currently producing in excess of 2500 filters per month. Filter technologies include lumped element, microstrip and machined cavity comblines, covering the frequency ranges of 1 GHz to 20 GHz. Using advanced computer modeling, and state of the art machine shop facilities, we can provide quick turn around for new custom switch and filter designs.
Akon offers low loss, fast, multi throw microwave switches, covering the .5 GHz to 20 GHz range. Switches are available with built-in TTL drivers, with typical switching speed of less than 30 ns. Switches can be supplied that are either absorptive or reflective. Typical isolation is >70 dB from port to port. AKON also offers switches with integrated limiters. Innovative design techniques are used in the RF section that reduces insertion loss to a minimum. Typical loss numbers for an SP2T is 1.5 dB at 10 GHz and 2 dB at 18 GHz.
Akon has the capability to supply custom integrated components, using filters and switches, and other microwave components such as couplers, power dividers and amplifiers.
AEI's Space Lab is a fully equipped section, incorporating laminar flow benches, and permits the assembly, test, and inspection of products that require a stringent clean room environment. In addition, each unit is tracked by a manufacturing order, or traveler, with the applicable test data and supporting documents being recorded in the Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP). All equipment used is calibrated in accordance with International standards.
